Client Presentation: June 28, 2012

Floor plan of living room, kitchen and dining area… loving this layout, corner fireplaces can be difficult to design with but I must admit, once I came up with the space plan for this room… I was so in love with this fireplace…cosy spot to talk with visitors…

Now you will  notice the table is up against the wall in the dining area…this is set up this way for the summer months when getting out the door without any problem is important, during the winter when they do not use this door as much the table can come forward with the chairs all around. (adding in the two arm chairs from the living room rounds out the table to seat 6).

Before we talk about the living room, I will start with this interesting shelf of niches just off the entrance… you can see it on the left in this picture, cool ah?

This is what I came up with…

Large Vase for the top shelf, from Mercana

a pop of red with the covered vases from Uttermost and this sweet large footed bird from Mercana together on the Middle Shelf

 

***and then as in my drawing the bottom shelf saved for a large basket with a top, done in a black painted finish, this will ground the three shelves.

 

Main Floor Floor Plan

 

Living Room

This is the fireplace in the corner of the room that all the furniture will be placed in front of.  This large platter will give a good punch of colour to the fireplace and repeat the red out of the area rug. 

 

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This amazing Surya 8’ square area rug from the Athena Collection will ground the fireplace area, it’s really going to be a great place for family and guests alike to chat with my clients during parties and get togethers.

Canadel CHA 1251 Arm Chair, in fabric, I used the matching arm chairs to the dining set, they can come out of the living room area during a party and join the other chairs around the dining table…
