Merry Broken Christmas
this is what no sleep, no makeup and a lot of pain looks like…i broke my wrist in 3 places 3 weeks ago
my hubby got the tree up & decorated, i helped as much as i could
this is my new cast, designer cast in black & white
i have learned to use the computer mouse with my left hand, Christmas is going to be weird for sure, I think I might have to have an extra glass of punch…

Some evenings you know what’s coming in the morning…
Ever get the feeling this will be you tomorrow morning? I have worked all night on a presentation & just now realized I left my USB flash drive that I use to move my work in the computer at my other office… working out of 3 offices really sucks some days…
Emailed all my work to my other email address… I will find out if that works when I get there tomorrow… fingers crossed or I will need a double of the above because this will be me (below) at my desk !!!

Martha has wonderful ideas…a new use for flower pots
Pretty pots can do more than hold flowers on an outdoor table. They can be used to protect dips and other dishes from party-crashing insects. Lift the pot by sticking one finger through the drain hole, or create a handle by cutting an 18-inch length of 1/4-inch cord and knotting the ends together. Thread the looped end through the drain hole in the flowerpot.

Martha has wonderful ideas…paint swatch sticks
Long after the last coats have dried on your new paint job, you can still have easy access to the color names and numbers for touch-ups. I am always asking my clients for a sample of their paint colour, I would love it if anyone gave me a set of these to work with on their home design project….
Save the wooden stirrers you used to mix the paint, let them dry, and then write the names and numbers of the colors on the ends of the sticks. Use a length of twine to bundle the sticks by room.

Look who’s coming to town…
Prince William and Kate Middleton will arrive in Ottawa on tomorrow Thursday, June 30th 2011, 2pm for an eight-day visit to Canada…
They will be in the Calgary Stampede Parade, Friday, July 8th 2011… I am thinking I should attend the parade this year… it’s walking distance from my condo. I will regret not going for sure, keeping the date open for now. What do you think, would you go if you were me?
